Verve, Africa’s leading domestic payment card and digital token brand, says it is expanding its global reach through new collaborations with some of the world’s top digital and e-commerce platforms.

Verve says the deals with leading players that include Google, Netflix, Spotify, Uber, YouTube Premium, Temu, AliExpress, Facebook Ads, and Flywire, among others aims to simplify cross-border payments for African users by enabling locally-issued Verve cards to seamlessly power subscriptions, purchases, and business transactions across a broad range of services.

Its move signals a major step in bridging Africa’s digital payment gap and improving financial access for millions across the continent.

Verve, which has operated for over 15 years, says the partnerships will empower consumers and entrepreneurs with secure, versatile, and convenient access to global platforms using payment methods tailored to Africa’s unique financial landscape.

Verve, which has operated for over 15 years, says the partnerships will empower consumers and entrepreneurs with secure, versatile, and convenient access to global platforms using payment methods tailored to Africa’s unique financial landscape.

“These partnerships are designed to enrich the lives of millions of consumers by enabling secure, versatile, and convenient payment options across a wide range of services,” Verve says in a statement.

From streaming services like Netflix and Spotify to business tools such as Google Ads and Facebook Ads, Verve says its growing ecosystem now allows users to pay with local cards, eliminating the friction of cross-currency charges and rejected payments.

The fintech company says it is also opening up global shopping platforms like Temu and AliExpress to African consumers, and enabling frictionless payments for everyday services including Uber rides and Flywire transactions.

Verve says each partnership is built with deep local market understanding to ensure that solutions are not only accessible but relevant and secure. “By aligning with global standards and tailoring solutions to Africa’s unique context, Verve is more than a payment provider—it is a catalyst for digital inclusion, economic empowerment, and sustainable growth across the continent,” the company says.

With the push, Verve says it strengthens its role as a gateway between Africa and the global digital economy, helping Nigerian and African users connect to essential digital, educational, and business services—without the traditional barriers to international payment access.
