Mr. Phuthuma Nhleko, Executive Chairman of MTN Group

Phuthuma Nhleko, Executive Chairman of MTN Group, has said that the South African mobile phone group’s 2016 growth hinges on resolution of N1.04 trillion fine imposed on its local unit, MTN Nigeria, for not registering 5.2 million of its subscribers.

The MTN Group Chairman, who was speaking in the video (seen below) released by the mobile phone company says that it is engaging with Nigerian authorities to resolve the fine issues:
