Whatsapp is one of the biggest messaging platforms in the world today.   • Send Whatsapp audio message with one click

Whatsapp allows you send audio messages during a chat. To do this, go to menu options and click on send audio. Apparently everyone knows that. Now to send a Whatsapp audio message with just one click, simply press and hold down space bar, say your message and then release your hand to send.

  • Navigate up or down a chat

If you’ve being chatting with someone a long time and you wish to go back to the conversation to check out something, scrolling up could take you sometime. To scroll up the chat, simply go into the chat body and press T. This takes you to the top of the chat. If you want to come back down to reply, simply press R.

  • Recover deleted conversations

Sometime you may accidentally delete your WhatsApp conversations and you want to get it back. Then this trick is especially for you. Generally, WhatsApp backs up all the conversations and it will be stored in the phone’s memory.

  • Block a contact on Whatsapp

If you longer want a person to be able to message you on Whatsapp, the only way is to block the contact. To block a contact on Whatsapp, simply go to Settings, move to Privacy settings then the blocked option appears. If you have no blocked contact, your blocked contact list will show zero. Click on block contact to add new contact to be blocked. You can also unblock contacts by clicking menu on a blocked contact and then press unblock.

  • Hide last seen time on whatsapp

WhatsApp shows a “last seen” timestamp by default. However, you can disable this timestamp on both Blackberry and Android.

For Blackberry users: all you need to do is go into Settings click on Chat Settings then Advanced and set Last Seen Timestamp to Off.

For Android users: third party apps such as Hide WhatsApp Status are there for help. It works by disabling your Wi-Fi and data connection when you open WhatsApp.

  • Check for New Update

If you want to check for new update, simply go to Settings click About, then an icon for Check for Updates appears. Click on it to view any recent updates

  • Enable or disable chat history

When chat history is enabled, Whatsapp saves conversation history on your memory card so you can always go back to view conversations. If you want to enable or disable chat history, simply go to Settings click on Media Settings then an option to put off/on your Message History comes up then put on or off.

  • Send broadcast message

Go to Menu and click New Broadcast Lists. Tap or type in contacts name to choose recipients from your contact list. Then, tap Done.

  • Create shortcuts for important contacts

Simply long press on the group or contact you want to create a shortcut for. Tap on Add conversation shortcut on the menu that pops up and you have shortcut right on your home screen.
