The Federal Government says that Wise GPT, Nigeria’s AI-powered tool designed to modernise public service delivery, has recorded reduced administrative task hours for civil servants.
Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, announced the experiences from the pilot of Wise GPT at the Global Government Summit 2025 in Singapore during her presentation, titled “Model Behaviour: How to Govern with AI, Empowering Governance with AI: Nigeria’s National AI Journey and Wise GPT Insight.”
Mrs. Walson-Jack, who highlighted Nigeria’s draft National Artificial Intelligence Strategy, developed by the Federal Ministry of Communication, Innovation, and Digital Economy underscores AI’s potential to contribute to both the national and global economy, while stressing the need for responsible, ethical, and inclusive governance.

HoS: Wise GPT improves efficiency across Federal Civil Service
Mrs. Walson-Jack tells the event attendees that Wise GPT, a user-centric AI-powered assistant that provides civil servants with instant access to Public Service Rules, Statutory Instruments, and other critical regulations. The tool, which is in its beta version, is designed to simplify referencing and reduce administrative tasks, thus improving efficiency across the Federal Civil Service.
“The Service-Wise GPT will save time and reduce administrative task hours for civil servants, improve compliance, ensure regulatory adherence, enhance productivity, facilitate faster decision-making across ministries, and ultimately improve service delivery,” she tells attendees at the Global Government Summit 2025.
She also shared findings from a 2025 research study showing that 73% of users saved 2-3 hours daily, with 90% recommending the tool for its efficiency and ease of use.
According to Mrs. Walson-Jack, “this is a testament to the commitment of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led Federal Government to leveraging technology for the public good.”
