Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, also known as Yayi, has launched a new technology-driven educational initiative tagged Catch Them Young to equip secondary school students across his senatorial district in Ogun State with digital skills for the future.
Under the programme, 700 students are receiving intensive training in computer appreciation and applications, a move designed to ignite early interest in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and bridge digital skills gaps among youth in the state.
Technology Times learns that each participating student is receiving a certificate in basic computer appreciation and a brand-new laptop to support further learning. Transportation support is also being provided to ensure seamless participation by beneficiaries from across the district.

Senator Adeola expresses optimism that early access to personal computers and digital tools is offering young people a solid foundation for success in the ICT-driven economy.
“Owning personal computers at an early stage is opening doors for the students into the profitable world of Information, Communications, and Technology (ICT),” Senator Adeola says during the unveiling. “It positions them for greater opportunities in the digital economy.”
The Catch Them Young scheme, the lawmaker says, is reinforcing his commitment to youth development, technology adoption and effective representation of his constituency.
The initiative is coming as one in a series of empowerment programmes being championed by Senator Adeola to deepen educational advancement and digital transformation within his district.
“This initiative further underscores Senator Adeola’s commitment to effective representation and his belief in investing in the youth as the cornerstone for future development,” a statement from the senator’s office says.
