YEZZ, TD click deal to explore Mobile Nigeria

US-based mobile phone maker, YEZZ says it has partnered Nigerian technology conglomerate, Technology Distribution (TD) to distribute its devices across Nigeria, under a broader expansion plans into Africa and Europe. YEZZ announced the deal with Nigeria’s TD as the exclusive distributor of its mobile device range across the country, in an email to Technology Times citing the “exemplary track record” of the local technology industry player. Robert Schiano, YEZZ Managing Director in EMEA, says that, “YEZZ is proud to announce that Technology Distribution (TD) has been selected as the exclusive distributor of YEZZ in the Nigerian market. TD has an exemplary track record in terms of software, hardware, accessories and peripherals, and more recently, mobile devices across the West African region.” Under the plan, TD will make the YEZZ product range available for sale online exclusively via Konga.com for the launch period, as well as through partnerships with Yudala and key Opcos into select open channel retail outlets throughout Nigeria, according to the mobile device maker. "The African market offers considerable growth prospects,” Schiano says noting that “studies show that the number of smartphones sold by 2017 will double to 350 million units. The YEZZ brand has the ambition, portfolio, and capacity to be a major player in Africa’s mobile phone sector.
