Globacom Nigeria is partnering with search engine giant, Google to build up fans support for the biggest football tournament, the World Cup 2014, taking place in Brazil next month.

The partnership will see Globacom activating the Glo Online Reality Show, a platform that will be built around the Super Eagles. It will involve exclusive interviews with the players and behind-the-scene online coverage of the Super Eagles’ exploits before, during and after the tournament, the search company announced.

With the Glo Online Reality Show, fans can send their pictures to the players to be autographed, send e-cards to the players with goodwill messages and follow all the actions in the Eagle’s camp.

Juliet Ehimuan-Chiazor, Country Manager, Google, said that the telecoms company is leveraging the power of technology to mobilise support for the Super Eagles.

“We are going to do three things under this Glo campaign for the Super Eagles. There will be Google Plus Hangout where Nigerian football fans can interact with their stars‎. There will also be an opportunity for fans to send their pictures digitally to their Super Eagles stars to be autographed”, she said.

With the Online Reality Show, Nigerians on the Glo network can regularly follow what is happening behind the scene, how the Eagles prepare for matches and the footages of the team in camp.”
